A well-played and exceptionally preserved Travis Bean TB1000A, serial number 397, looking for its next home.

Originally ordered by its first owner through a musical instrument shop in Copenhagen, Denmark, in the mid-1970s, this guitar has spent decades being played, enjoyed, and carefully preserved. It remains a wonderful example of why Travis Bean instruments have become so sought after by players and collectors alike.

The guitar is in excellent overall condition and appears to be all original. The iconic aluminum neck is perfectly straight, the ebony fingerboard is in beautiful shape, and the frets show only moderate wear with plenty of life remaining. The original Schaller tuners function flawlessly, and the pickups deliver the articulate, powerful tone that has made the TB1000A legendary.  

Recently cleaned, professionally intonated, and set up with D'Addario Nickel Wound .012–.052 strings, it plays effortlessly and is ready for stage, studio, or collection use.  

All parts seem to bee original. Included is a non-original 1970s hard-shell case that has likely housed the guitar for most of its life. The case comes complete with a heavy leather strap mounted inside, along with a collection of period memorabilia including picks, an instrument cable, a pen, and even an old setlist—small details that add to the instrument's unique story and charm.  

This is not a museum piece. It is a genuine player's Travis Bean with decades of history, honest patina, and all the character one would hope to find in an early TB1000A.
